It's the most restrained and elegant of all color schemes, and when executed well, it looks refined and effortlessly sophisticated. The Three Variations of a Single Hue Starting from a pure base color (full saturation, 50% lightness in HSL), there are three ways to modify it: Tint — Adding white.
